Liège syrup

In 1902, great-grandfather Clément Meurens left the family farm to start producing spreadable syrups.

In 1937, grandfather Clément drew inspiration from the jellies that were very popular at the time to create the recipe for pear syrup from the Liège region. Its success was such that Liège syrup became a generic name and an essential product on bread since the baby boomer generation.

Martine Meurens offers the original recipe of Liège syrup, made from pears, apples and dates, sweetened with beet sugar.
